Why Did Jesus Have to Die in Order to Save Us?

God's plan for salvation of man has been the same from the time Adam sinned
until this very hour in history. That plan was first stated to the serpent in Genesis 3: 15:
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." This is the first statement about
salvation in the Bible. Genesis 3:21 was the next, " LORD God make coats of skins,
and clothed them" A lamb as killed and covering was made for them.

Throughout the Old Testament we see that a sacrifice had to be given for sin.
This sacrifice pictured the coming of Jesus to die as John 1: 29: "The next day John seeth
Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away
the sin of the world."

The Jews had a clear understanding of the lamb as a sacrifice for sin,
but unto the gentiles Paul speaks of the Second Adam. So how is Jesus the second Adam
and what does it mean?

Romans 5:12: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Adam sinned
and death came into the world as a results. Revelations also speaks of a second Death, Rv:21:8.
So Adam's sin brought death. Now every person that had ever been born from the seed
of Adam is a partaker in this death. Then we come to Jesus (the Second Adam).1Cor:15:22:
"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

How are we made alive by Christ?
First of all He was from the seed of woman, not in the line of Adam. He was virgin born. He was sinless,
not needing a sin covering and not under the curse of Death. He could have lived
unto this day in his flesh and blood and not die. But He did die! Can you see the plan of
God in this? Adam sinned and Death came on all, Jesus Died that we will be made alive.
The Death of Jesus nullifies the curse because the only one in history that death had no
power over, choose to die thus making the way of salvation unto all that believe.
This is our Hope and Security. We can have life because of the death of Jesus.
Believe in His sacrificial death today for your sins and enter into a relationship with
God Almighty.


You may ask how do I start.

1 Realize your need. If you died today you would go into judgment without a covering
for sin and would be cast into Hell, which is the second death.

2 Call upon God to save you. We see this in Romans 10 9: "That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.11: For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.12: For there is no difference
between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Now you are ready for your new life in obedience to God. Read His word (the Bible)
and pray to Him as you would speak to a respected Father.

Dear Friend, the way may seem hard, for we must live a new life now in the same old
world with the same old ways of the world all around Us. But remember the way and end
of the sinner is totally, totally unexceptable and unchanging Hell to all who reject GOD.
